4. AMX BoatsTogether with the team in the USA, Manora Logistics organised the transport from USA – port of Houston to Angola – port of Luanda of 2 workboats with outboard engines. Urgent delivery from China to Al Jubail

1125-09As informed earlier, Manora Logistics is involved in the deliveries of equipment for a Hydrogen Peroxide Plant in Al Jubail – Saudi Arabia. We were requested by the customer, one of the world’s leading EPC contractors, to organise a urgent, last minute transport from Linhai, China to Al Jubail. They themselves called it a challenge, as planning would be very tight. Together with our partners in Asia, we arranged for two barges in the factory, while the cargo was still being painted and packed. After loading and customs clearance, the cargo was brought to Hong Kong. There the cargo was loaded midstream, direct overside onto the deep sea vessel, which took the cargo into Saudi Arabia. Careful planning, close follow up and as always a bit of luck helped us to finish this transport seamlessly ! Many thanks again to all parties who assisted in this transport.

Manora provides logistics support for Greenland Ice Expedition 2014

logo-headerMuch more than a ground-breaking expedition. The Greenlad Ice Expedition by seasoned polar explorers Dixie Dansercoer & Eric McNair-Landry attempt a new world distance record in the Arctic, by completing a circumnavigation of Greenland this Spring season: 5000+ km in 80 days, using only sledges, kites and the katabatic winds. If they succeed it will be the Longest Arctic unsupported snow-kiting expedition.

This dynamic multi-generational team exudes an innovative and ambitious approach toward polar exploration. During the trip, they will also be investigating the climate of Greenland, using multiple  scientific data collection tools.
Manora facilitated the logistics for this project, delivering all equipment and foodstuffs (including temperature controlled) for the expedition by a small plane from Belgium to Kulusuk, Greenland. The expedition is to start in a few days now, and all materials have meantime arrived safely.

We wish Dixie and Eric lots of success on their long journey !

The Manora Logistics team this year visited Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Originally a Viking Fishing town, the city now became a place full of splendid 17th century buildings, a river running through, beautiful parks and gardens, and of course the famous statue of the little mermaid.
Good company, nice food (some really wonderful restaurants visited) made this visit again a success.
Thanks to everyone for being there and obviously an extra thanks to the organizer and guide.
See you again next year.

First load out of Amrum Wind Farm Project

AmrumAfter months of careful planning and engineering, Manora completed the first load out of 6 foundations for the new offshore wind farm Amrum. The 6 Transition pieces, each approx 300 ton, were loaded and transported on a pontoon to Cuxhaven, Germany. This was a complicated project from engineering perspective, due to several constraints and required weather criteria of capacity to withstand waves upto 2,5 meters and wind upto 30 knots. The first load out was already seriously tested with heavy winds in Belgium and Netherlands during the loading process, however all went well, and the cargo will now be soon underway to its final destination.
Another successful project for Manora Logistics!

We are responsible for the deliveries from yard upto alongside the installation vessel MPI Discovery, which will take the units directly on board, using its own crane. First T/P was loaded under a bright and sunny sky, hope this may continue during the rest of the project.

DSC_0057[1]Under a tight hour by hour schedule, Manora Logistics organized the transport of a jacket of 1000 ton, from The Netherlands to Belgium, on a pontoon 100 x 33 meters. For this transport a total of 4 bridges had to be passed, including ‘The Hef’ in Rotterdam, where we had only one meter air clearance on a 47 meter high convoy, and 50 cm under the keel. A challenge for all parties, but again a successful completion for our team, with thanks to all partners involved!
